NOVEMBER 20, 2009 -- We had a most excellent public meeting on e4e in St. Catharines Ontario last week (on Nov. 13). It was hosted at the CAW Local 199 hall. Many thanks especially to President Wayne Gates, who presided at the meeting, just getting over some major health challenges. Also to Peter Scott, organizer extraordinaire, who pulled the logistics togther.
Over 100 people attended (sadly, fire restrictions turned some away). Many guests of honour included Malcolm Allen, newly-minted MP for Welland and long-time CAW local leader.
For me one of the most memorable aspects of the night was the illuminated sign that Peter arranged to advertize the talk on a major St. Catharines Street. Check it out here. Thanks a million Peter, I'll cherish that one forever!
