e4e Web Site Comments

NOVEMBER 1, 2008 -- I've been receiving a decent flow of commentary on the book through the feedback feature of this website.  Here is a selection of a few of the comments received.  Thanks to everyone who has submitted comments, praise, criticism, and suggestions for future editions.

"I finished the book about three weeks ago, just prior to the tentative economic collapse in the US. There could be no better reference guide to the Finance Industry and how capitalism created this predicament, than Jim's book for understanding what has and may happen yet. It was an excellent read and could not be more true."

"I finished your book a few days ago and wished to write to say how much
I enjoyed it.  The manner in which you presented the background and information was clear, concise and humorous where necessary. I really appreciate this book and will recommend it to anyone who, like me, felt they needed an introduction to the field - as well as some hope as to what we can do to bring change."

"By the way, your book is great! Now I see the world in a different perspective and with more understanding."

"I have just read your book. For me, it is the most important and instructive book I have ever read. For years I have searched for something that could give me a full understanding of the the economy and the complex inter-relations at play. Pity you decided to write it only now. I could have done with this 20 years ago."  [I could have written it 20 years ago, but I was only 9 at the time.  Ha ha!]

There are also a couple of short reviews posted on Amazon.  Here's one from 'Sky': "Excellent text for individuals seeking for a source introducing and critically examining the key economic concepts and issues. The format is very accessible and enjoyable. It will be suitable for high school students and adults without a background in critical theory. This is much more than a standard textbook in economic theory and if you are choosing between this text and a textbook, this one should be the one you read first."

On the other hand, Frank at Amazon hated the "childlike cartoons"! Sorry, Frank!
